What is the difference between AvenaPro and other oatmeal shampoos?
Scientists at AvenaPro have targeted the active ingredients found in oats that are responsible for relieving itchy and irritated skin. While other oatmeal shampoos contain mostly oat flour, AvenaPro is the only dog shampoo which contains the 3 clinically proven oat extracts - Avenanthramides, Oat Beta Glucan, and Oat Peptides.
How often should I use AvenaPro?
For the shampoo, we recommend bathing once per week. Please note that if required, AvenaPro is gentle enough for daily baths, AND for puppies and kittens. The AvenaPro Ear Cleanser an be used as often as required, or as recommended by your veterinarian. Do not use if perforated eardrum is present, and remember to avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes (lips, nose etc.).
How long should I wait before rinsing AvenaPro 6 Shampoo?
While most shampoos recommend a leave-in time of 7-10 minutes, AvenaPro begins working immediately, and can be rinsed off as soon as your dog is completely lathered.
How long will AvenaPro last?
The AvenaPro kit is a two month system designed for weekly baths in conjunction with the soothing spray which can be used as often as required.
What sizes does AvenaPro come in?
The Shampoo, Soothing Spray and Ear Cleanser come in 4 oz. bottles.
My veterinarian has me using other medication for my dog's skin condition or ear infection.
Can I still use AvenaPro?
If your veterinarian has prescribed other medications for your dog's ears or for severe skin conditions, we recommend consulting your veterinarian before using AvenaPro.
When does AvenaPro expire?
We recommend using AvenaPro within 1 year. Though, its expiry extends beyond two years.
Does AvenaPro contain alcohol, steroids or any other harsh chemicals?
No, AvenaPro uses active ingredients found only in nature.
How long until I see results?
You should expect to see results after your first bath. Remember to use the soothing spray as required in between baths for best results.
Is AvenaPro safe for animals other than dogs?
AvenaPro is also effective on cats, horses, and can also be used on ferrets.
Where should I store AvenaPro?
Recommended that you store AvenaPro at room temperature away from direct sunlight.
What is the scent of AvenaPro?
All AvenaPro scents are mild. The Shampoo has a light rose scent. The Soothing Spray and Ear Cleanser are odourless.
My dog has pimples/blisters/scabs on their skin and I am noticing puss and/or blood discharges. What do you reccomend?
If you are noticing any of these symptoms, your dog may have a more severe skin disease beyond just skin allergies, and we recommend consulting your veterinarian before using AvenaPro 6.
Is there anything else I can do to combat my dog's itching skin?
Omega-3 Fatty Acids have been found to be helpful as a supplement to the AvenaPro system.
